The Committed Wives Club Inc. is a Not-For-Profit organization designed to bring wives together for the purpose of educating, empowering and supporting one another. I have been married for over thirteen years and understand that the martial relationship is not perfect and require a lot of patience, understanding, forgiveness, and work. Through doing some research, I discovered that most wives are suffering from depression, emptiness, and are discouraged because of their marital relationship. As a result they find themselves struggling day to day to create healthy relationships with their spouses and children. Most of the issues they are faced with are caused because of lack of effective communication, lack of finances, child rearing/parenting issues, fatigue, intimacy issues, lack of trust in the relationship, unresolved issues and physical or emotional infidelity, all of which will eventually lead to isolation/withdrawing from the family and/or divorce. The Committed Wives Club Inc. offers support to wives and gives them life tools by educating them on the importance of dealing with these issues. We believe that the wife’s role is essential in the family, and if she is not healthy and strong it is impossible for the family to thrive. We believe that a wife who is healthy spiritually, emotionally, and physically yields a successful marriage and family.

The Committed Wives Club Inc. believes in healthy, long-lasting marriages and we are committed to meeting the needs of the family, by engaging in monthly meetings that address and resolves marital, family, and individual issues. Some topics discussed are communication, finances, children, intimacy, trust, adultery, pornography, how to love your spouse, giving your husband the respect he needs, what to do when one of you wants to leave and how to have a fulfilling marriage. We also provide weekly individual, couple, and group counseling sessions.

In addition to educating wives we believe that the support they receive by engaging in the monthly meetings with other wives facing similar issues and having similar needs, truly nurtures the soul and gives comfort and affirmation that they are not alone. The Committed Wives Club Inc. fosters love and the importance of building relationships and we are sensitive to each individual wife’s needs.

Another essential component in our organization is the enrichment activities. These activities are designed to take the educational side of our organization and put it to use. What we have found is that another very important part of the family dynamics is participating in activities outside of the home. We’ve also concluded that wives are suffering primarily from not nurturing themselves, they spend so much time at work, working in the home, tending to the husband and children, and others, so much so, they have forsaken themselves. Our enrichment activities are created for growth, interaction between the family without any external distractions, and for fun. Some activities include “Spa Days”, which promotes the personal pampering and wellness, retreats for the wife individually, couples, and family retreats with emphasis on restoration, surviving an affair, marriage boot camp, and becoming a family again, and lastly workshops, seminars, and conventions that will educate, strengthen, and provide life tools.
The Committed Wives Club Inc. began in January of 2008. We now have over 150 attendees, members and supporters. We service and operate in Grundy County, Will County, Cook County, Kendall County, DuPage County, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Germany. The need for our organization is very prominent and we have had a very successful year. There is also a very high demand to take our organization to other places both here in the States and other countries.

We are partnering with churches, other social services, homeless shelters, and prisons as well as financial institutions in order to educate, empower and embrace/encourage other wives to be committed to their marriage families, and communities. We have programs designed specifically to assist incarcerated wives in transitioning back into the home, job, and society. This program will consist of partnering with job training and placement agencies and also ongoing mentoring and educational classes directed towards personal, financial, marital growth.

We are also launching a new branch of our organization that will instruct engaged couples on how to have healthy relationships. This will be both given via classes and counseling. What we have discovered is that most couples enter into marriage without any training or counseling, resulting in severe marital conflict and most often divorce. By offering classes and counseling to these couples we can identify issues that may cause future problems, provide assistance with current problems, and also educate them about what to expect in marriage. Topics discussed including financial planning, parenting, conflict resolution, gaining trust, and planning for the future/family goal setting. By providing these services to couple will properly prepare the couples for marriage and contribute to the lowering of the divorce rate.

Lastly we have a branch that is comprised of groups of women who are actively engaging in building relationships with young girls. We meet once a month and provide motivational and practical life skills. Topics discussed are the importance of abstaining from sex, building strong relationships with their parents, environmental issues that affect them such as gangs, drugs and violence, and the importance of finishing high school and career planning. We also partner with other organizations that allow the girls to service their events, such as being greeters and hostesses which assist in etiquette and building self esteem. In the near future we plan to service the daughters of incarcerated mothers.
